The new 2011 Octonauts Octopod playset from Fisher Price is the Octonauts toy that everyone is after…this is a Most-Wanted Toy.

Fisher Price have already brought forward the release of the Octonauts toys because of the strong demand from kids and parents and the Octonauts Octopod Playset initial stock has already sold out with many online retailers, so demand is just growing!

So what is the Octopod Playset?

Well the Octopod playset is the home to all the Octonauts including Captain Barnacles Bear, Lieutenant Kwazii Cat, and Medic Peso Penguin.  The Octonuts job is to rescue and look after the under water sea wildlife and the Octopod is their underwater base from which all their adventures start.

The Octonuts Octopod playset really is a fantastic toy that kids who love the Cbeebies show are going to love.  The Octopod playset is made up of one giant pod and then 4 mini pods that are all connected via slides.  Each of the 4 octopad pods also have their own tools and accessories like strechers to help with the injured sea creatures that they come across.

There is also a Octo Alert button on the top of this playset which when pushed emits sounds and phrases from the cartoon.

I love this playset and Fisher Price have done a great job with it, the build quality is really high and it’s suitable for children from 3 years and up.  The only slight negative I would mention is that there is no Peso Penguin figure (he’s our favourite character), but other than that this is a fantastic set.

So what do you get in the box?

Well the Octopod Playset comes with 2 Octonauts figures which are Captain Barnacles Bear and Lieutenant Kwazii Cat.  You also get a mini GUP A vehicle, 3 lovely sea creatures to resuce which include a sea turtle, sea snake and crab, a net, barrel and stretcher.
