For me this has to be one of the most exciting toy ranges for 2011…yes Thundercats are BACK!

I grew up with the original Thundercats Toys back in the 80s and loved the series as well as the toys, infact I think I still have some figures tucked away somewhere in the back of my parents loft.

Well time has moved on and now Bandai have brought back the Thundercats Toys based on the brand new Thundercats Cartoon which has just started on the Cartoon Network Channel and is already proving to be a massive success.

But that’s not all, Bandai have also thought about the collectors and the fans of the original and are releasing a 8″ Classic collectors series which features the original 80s classic variations, so far only two characters, Lion-o and Tygra will be part of the classic range before Christmas.

So let’s just take a overview of what Thundercats Toys will be released just before Christmas:

Thundercats Basic 4″ Figures:

These are the smallest of the new Thundercats figures range and come with fantastic detail and quality that both collectors and kids can play with or display.

Each of the 4” figures come with a weapon and accessory that is unique to the character and they all feature the new ThunderLynx magnet technology, which allows the figures to interact with, and activate unique features in the Thundercats vehicles and playsets.

The Thundercats 4inch figures Wave 1 will consist of:

Thundercats 4″ Deluxe Figures:

Each of the 4” Thundercats Deluxe Figures will utilize an embedded magnet which unlocks unique actions on Thundercats Vehicles and playsets. The Thundercats 4″ figures will also include a base and/or accessory and include the following figures:
