Kidizoom Twist
Over the last 4 years the Vtech Kidizoom brand has grown and grown to become a massive force in the pre-school toy market with the original kidizoom camera and the kidizoom video camera being huge sellers each Christmas…this year Vtech bring us the latest ‘Twist’ on the kidizoom range called funnily enough the Kidizoom Twist!
This fun packed camera is available in two versions:
- Kidizoom Twist Pink
- Kidizoom Twist Blue
So what’s so different about the kidizoom twist?
Well basically as the name suggests, the Kidizoom Twist has a twisting camera that allows you to be able to take photos of yourself or you and your friends and be able to line up the picture correctly thanks to the view screen. Another great feature of the twist aspect of this camera is the ability for kids to just film themselves, it really is amazing how much this simple feature has added to the overall camera playability.
Kids really do love these cameras, they are so simple to use and the picture quality really is quite good and our little testers seemed to love the ability to edit the photos on the camera and add all the different special effects.
The Vtech Kidizoom twist camera is a 2 megapixel camera and has a x4 digital zoom, it also comes with it’s own built-in flash. The main body of the camera is made up of the lcd view finder screen which is nice and bright and big enough to be able to edit the pictures on the camera. The camera comes with 256 MB of storage which will hold around 500 pictures. You can of course very easily link the camera to your pc to either store or print the images if you want.
Another neat feature of this camera is that it also comes with 5 built-in games which is a nice extra bonus and we loved the ability to record and alter your own voice which our little reviewers went mad over!
So to conclude, Vtech have added some really simple features that have turned an already great camera into a fantastic camera! The buttons are nice and big and the camera is so easy to use. It’s well made and feels really solid and can take some dropping and rough play. The screen on the camera is big and very scratch resistant (at least so far!) and the quality of the images will keep any 5 year old very happy! All in all a really great toy that will make a fantastic Christmas present.
